Wade out, parody in

Wade Phillips has been fired from being the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, and Jerry Jones is the new Andy Reid.

A while back Reid said that Kevin Kolb would be the starting quarterback of the Eagles, but that didn't last long as Michael Vick was named the starter a few days later.

Earlier in the season, at the beginning of the Cowboys struggles, Jones stated that Phillips would finish the season. Clearly he didn't know the team would fall to 1-7, and this move is probably more to satisfy the fans than anything else. Dallas is not going to make the post-season and everyone hates Wade Phillips. Dallas is without a doubt the most underachieving team in the NFL and is having an extremely disappointing season. They were expected to win the NFC East, and were among the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Jason Garrett will take over for at least the rest of the season.

In more pleasant news, parody is rocking the NFL. On Sunday, the Browns absolutely manhandled the Pats. Buffalo gave Chicago a run for their money, and the Jets and Vikings staged double-digit comeback wins. The Eagles held on against the unusually not-dominate Colts.

Days like this are good for the NFL; fans want to see comebacks and upsets and it looks like this is a season in which we could see a 'Cinderella' team emerge.

Hopefully next week will be as good as the last.
